The shocked family of Sheffield murder victim Reema Ramzan have spoken of their loss after she was brutally knifed to death.
Reema, aged 18, from Darnall, was found dead in a flat in Herries Road, Shirecliffe, on Tuesday, after being repeatedly stabbed.
A man believed to be her partner, a man in his 20s, was found suffering from serious stab wounds in the road outside.
He is still in a critical condition in the city’s Northern General Hospital and has been arrested and charged with murder by detectives.
He is under police guard in a critical condition and police say they may not be able to interview him fully until next week.
Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the killing and are treating it as a domestic incident.
In a statement Reema’s family said: “We are devastated as a family at the loss of Reema, a loved daughter and sister. We cannot believe that this has happened to someone we love so much.
“We ask that if any person has information about what happened to Reema that they contact South Yorkshire Police.
“We ask at this time to be left as a family to grieve and try to come to terms with what has happened.”
